we could have easily let Loup, Tepera, and then the Moore injury sink our season but we seem to have a solid reliever to fill the role every time we have needed so far… 

 

Devinski, Estevez, Joyce, Silseth, Webb, Bachman

And we have a couple more down in the minors doing very well.

I like how Perry isn’t afraid to move on from a veteran and make a roster move to change things that aren’t working. 

Also how he isn’t afraid to promote young talent.

Not today, but the weekend was pretty epic. Attended Angels game Fri night, first motocross races of the year at Pala on Saturday morning/afternoon, another Angels game Sat nite, and on Sunday some mountain biking up at SkyPark/Santa's Village. Made some homemade ice cream Sunday night and watched a replay of the Indy 500. First memorial day weekend as a single guy in quite a while, so I only did shit I wanted to do

Watching Joyce tonight was fantastic. I was expecting his pitches to be all over the place, but was excited at how well he pitched. That fastball . . . LOL, that was pure gas with movement. 
 

And that game ending play by Neto . . . Wow. This kid has better than expected glove skills.

First off, it’s now MagNeto, courtesy of a friend of mine.

That was a gut check win after the abomination that was this past weekend.

Canning looked like a #3/#4 starter.   Amazing how low the pitch count can be when he commands his pitches and mixes them up well.   Changeup was especially nasty.

Joyce had a great first MLB inning, with better command than I expected.

Drury is heating up again.

Minasian now needs to work on finding a lefty to take Moore’s spot for now.  Won’t be Loup.
