I still find it odd that Bally Sports West and some of the Angels-affiliated Twitter accounts are pushing this "most HR in under 120 games" "record" nonsense.  It might be interesting if we're talking about a rookie who gets called up midseason or something--but why are we supposed to be impressed or celebrate an injury-shortened season?  Trout's good!  We know that.  I'm glad he has a bunch of HR this year, including that absolute monster he just hit.  But I'm not sure why I should care where he ranks on the under-120-games list.

Trout just crushed a HR and Ohtani pitched very well again.  That's pretty much all you should hope for in game 162 of a disastrous season.  I'm not sure why you'd expect more.

The one bit of good news:

Arizona won and the Cubs are destroying the Reds 13-2 in the 7th.

Barring a miracle Reds rally, the Halos get the 10th draft lottery slot, instead of 12th draft lottery slot if they had won.

Somewhat better odds of getting within the top 6 draft slots

Depending upon blockbuster free-agent signings or earthquake Angels trades in the months ahead, that's all folks. Pretty sure I'll be hearing Mark G., Terry and Mark L. in April. Not so sure about Patrick. And what has that Matty V. thing been all about, anyway?

Mediocre would be an improvement.  I pitied Angels teams but never hated one so much until now.  Farte and Suckssi better be gone.
