The Angels continue to perform like they have no business playing Major League Baseball...

...and the doyers are showing them why.

The one thing they are consistent at is finding new ways to suck every year. Or disappoint. Or both.

Why do I think you put Marsh, Suarez, or even Squid on the Dodgers and they’re decent players. Are the Dodgers coaches that good?

Just here to see if anyone is still upset about how much the Angels suck, or if we've collectively moved into the "I hope they lose as many games as possible" mode.

The take away fro recent weeks is: Shohei Ohtani is going to be a very wealthy man...playing for the Yankees or Dodgers.

Ship him to the Padres for Hassell, CJ Abrams, James Wood, and Mackenzie Gore

One has to believe that Ohtani is looking over in the other dugout and thinking ' if only I was over there".

The Dodgers have created an organizational culture that centers around an expectation of success.

One thing is for sure: the players come prepared, they know how to adjust, their coaches know how to prepare, and they know how to study the opposition so if they don't succeed the first time, they won't make the same mistake twice.

When you see this happening right in front of you, it just feels like the Angels are going through the same motions they have for the past decade.

I don't have a lot of confidence they'll actually draft the right player with a high pick.

Neither.

I simply no longer care.

This website means far more to me than this organization.

Ohtani and Trout both.

Honestly I feel like the Angels have finally broken Trout.

Imagine being one of the greatest ballplayers ever and having to show up to the park to put on an Angels uniform every day.

I am really getting sick of this. Mike Trout chose to sign an extension with the Angels. He chose to take all that guaranteed money and stay in Anaheim. I don't feel bad for him at all.

I think you’re right. He’s had his slumps. But nothing like this year. All that’s left is the IL stint and then just calling it a season.

I'm still in denial/awe mode.

I really can't believe what I'm seeing.

He’s part of the problem and has not carried his weight and helped the team with all his injuries. If he wants to be really pissed about the way things are than he should do some self reflection first

Don't worry. Ennui will set in soon enough.

I think I left the denial stage around the time they lost two of three to the Royals. I think I realized that they weren't simply going to snap out of this, and that they are simply a really bad team.

But right now, I do still have some denial about just how broken this franchise this is. I'm not ready to give up hope for next year, even though there's this creeping sense that the team is going to be in a morass as long as Arte is the owner, so for the foreseeable future.

I get this. I do.

But just for a second try to forget about the money, and think about...life. With a job. That you're stuck at. And it sucks. And then you're gone 6 months out of the year from having an actual life. And no matter how hard you work and how good you are, going to work sucks. And even though you have a shit ton of money, you know you're stuck spending the next 10 years doing it into your late 30's.

I have a great job, good pay, but you know what? Sometimes the day sucks, but I get to go home in my bed, I get to see my girl, I go out with friends to forget about it, I see my family and people I love.

Strad gives me shit but that commitment alone is what was never worth it to me. Life is short. I think Trouts realizing that, and I think if you're going to dedicate all this time, regardless of the money, if you're going to give it all you have, I don't doubt you'd rather be out there winning. So your job doesn't suck. So even though you're not with your family and friends, you're out there with the best of the best.

Trout signed that contract with the expectation that the Angels would be a competitive team, and he's halfway there and he's still dealing with this horseshit organization that doesn't know its ass from a hole in the ground. And at some point regardless of the money, that has to wear on you.

I don't feel bad for Trout, but I can totally understand his mindset considering the circumstances.

I stated years ago here that the Angels would never win a World Series again with Mike Scioscia as the manager and never win a World Series with Arte as the owner. Unfortunately, so far, I've been right.

Moreno's philosophy is so flawed yet he continues to do the same damn thing over and over again year after year.
