Pujols and Cabreta are not taking anyone's roster spot.  MLB statements when they announced Pujols and Cabrera as All Stars said they are adding an extra spot each team.  Therefore no one lost spot because they added an extra just for those two.

Big mistake to have Pujols in the home run derby.  It’s going to mess up his swing and increase how much he sucks in the second half.
