what channel shows F1 racing? when is it usually on?

One of the ESPN Channels, it varies

Friday is usually 2 F1 Practice sessions

Saturday is 1 F1 Practice and 1 Qualifying Session

Sunday is race day.  They often have it live on ESPN2 and delayed later in the Day on ESPN

Max and Red Bull look unstoppable.

I don't think anyone can say Max only knows how to race when he is ahead.

Maybe the drama will seeing who finishes a distant second behind Red Bull in the constructors championship.

I want to see if Checo can stay with Max for the driver's championship. Max was dominant last race.

Vamos México!

Cool. Thnx.

Qualifying Session is sometimes as interesting as the actual race.

The qualifying session lasts one hour and is divided into 3 knock-out stages − Q1, Q2, Q3, with small intervals in between.

Q1 lasts 18 minutes and all 20 cars race on the circuit. Of these the five slowest cars are eliminated and they occupy the places − 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, on the grid.

Q2 begins after a brief interval with 16 cars and lasts 15 minutes. Again, the five slowest cars are eliminated and they occupy the places − 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, on the grid.

Finally, Q3 begins with the 10 remaining cars and is 12 minutes long and fill the remaining 10 positions on the grid. The fastest driver gets the Pole position.

There is strategy as to whether you try to get out early in qualifying or lay low and wait to make your best effort as time expires.   Yellow flags and wrecks can happen as the drivers try to push the cars and themselves to the edge.

this weekend the indy 500 takes place. it's the super bowl for the indy car series.

what's the equivalent for F1? and when is that race held?

You mean the race where they go around in the same oval for hours?

Sounds exciting.

Indy had a crowd of 325,000 last year, their second best attendance in the last 20 years.

*in OAFER (Oakland A's fan equivalent ratio), that's approximately 3 years worth of attendance

A lot of people watch soccer, too.

it seems kind of weird that there's a sport without a championship event.

It is a circuit of courses and points are awarded for finishes. It started with only 7 races and now the current format has 22. Max Verstappen won 15 of 22 races last season. 15 wins is a career for many of the drivers.

If there was one I would say it is the Grand Prix at Monico.

This weekend.
