I disagree. he airmailed it. A throw from that part of the field can easily make it home while giving the cutoff man a chance to reposition and catch it. 

I know he needs these reps but his defense is really really bad.

Bingo. They are trying to hit the final target and make a big throw. Need to give the defense the ability to adjust.

Is there one redeeming quality Maddon sees in Adell that all of us are missing? He's single handedly giving up outs and free bases every time he's out there.
