With the rotation getting a little jumbled this week and the AAA depth a bit in flux at the moment, it makes sense to give Ohtani a breather to ensure he makes his next start.

The other day (3 PM local time) was weird, but yesterday and today (1 PM local time) make sense.

Plus it's probably like 4 degrees at 7 PM.
