One time, I was at a game at CSUF Fullerton, I was sitting directly behind the plate, and Justin Turner was hit in the face with a pitch, and not only could I hear the "thud" when it hit his cheek, which sounded like a bare knuckle punch, I could hear Turner go: Ohhhh... As he went down from being struck. The whole stadium stopped as he was carried off. Your comment reminded me of that time.
