The recent 10 game stretch is eye opening on how much Rendon means to this team.  Even scuffling at the plate, his missing glove at third has been on full display the last 2 weeks.  Jesus the 3rd base defense has been brutal.

Pujols 10 years with the Angels may be the worst 10 year period of the team considering it coincided with the beginning career of the greatest Angels player in its history.

Even the one year they finally make the playoffs, they get swept with no life at all.

I fully expect them to be better next year once they get out of the horrible contract and the manager does not feel the need to  put him out there every fucken year.

Baseball is easily the most frustrating of the team sports to follow. We have a top ten player of all time for a decade and have made the playoffs once. Absolutely brutal. I'm more passionate about Oregon football/basketball but definitely get the most frustrated with the Angels over the past decade.

Sometimes teams and fans try to forcefully manufacture feel-good stories. Maddon is exactly the type to feed into this kind of sentimentality, thus Jose Rojas. But there's a reason that he hasn't made the majors until age 28. Feel-good stories do happen with late breakthroughs, but they're rare. It doesn't seem that Rojas is one of them.
