No official decision has been announced yet, but I've started to think this might indeed be the plan.  I mean, we're 3 weeks away from the first game of the regular season, so if they're going to hire someone from outside the org, they don't exactly have a lot of time left.

This is now about one-fourth of the way through the spring training schedule. Jose and Gubi are the team and will be the team. Even an announcer's salary saved is meaningful until Moreno can fill the seats again.

Yep, that's my fear.  And to the best of my knowledge, there haven't even been any rumors or hints whatsoever about potential outside candidates to replace Rojas.  I'm holding out the slimmest of hopes that someone will emerge soon, but I'm starting to resign myself to the reality of Mota.
