I think the Angels coming in hot and sneaking into the playoffs to win the WS would be the ONLY thing that would make this COVID 19 season epic and memorable for all baseball fans. It was at .1% chance before tonight's game.  Like holy **** could you imagine if it actually happened?

Mayers’ hitless innings streak ended at 14.2 innings.   That has to be high up on the all time list for MLB relievers.

He does have an 18.1 scoreless innings streak still going, over which his WHIP is 0.38 with 25/3 Ks/BBs.

Halos are now 13-6 since starting off 12-25.   Too late to make the post-season in all likelihood, but good momentum for 2021

If this was a regular 162 game season we would be in pretty good shape. We would have been buyers instead of sellers. We're only 3.5 games from making the playoffs. In a regular season we would have over a hundred games left to make a run, instead of 4.

Well, the caveat to that is if this were a regular 162 game season, there'd only be 5 playoff spots instead of 8, and we'd be chasing the Yankees, who we are 7.5 games behind.  

I think there's a decent chance we see an extended playoff field next year, although I think probably 6 would be more palatable for most than 8, with the first 2 seeds getting a "bye" of sorts to reward them for being the best teams.
