Corona Virus Poll, Week 16

Well hello everybody, another week goes by another poll is here. Hope everyone is healthy and staying safe. Have an amazing weekend and a great week.

Excellent questions this week, Kevin. Best yet. 

I would love to dramatically proclaim "If they can't get their shit together, I am done with baseball!" But I'm honest enough with myself at this point to know that such a proclamation would be BS. I will always come back to baseball. I have loved it for far too long to ever give it up.

What I can say, however, is that if they can't get their shit together, it will be a long time before I spend large amounts of money on the game like I have every year of my adult life. When you add together MLBTV, merchandise, and the amount of games I go to - especially the annual vacations I take centered around minor league games - it easily gets into the four figures every year. (I am currently out several hundred dollars for tickets I purchased for minor league games in April that everyone knows are never, ever going to be played, and yet I can't get a refund. And I bet others are out much more $ than I am.)

There's no way I'm done with baseball. When it comes back, I'll watch.

I feel the same today as when this all started - 7. I'm playing golf on Sunday for the first time since all of this started so I might vote 8 or 9 next week.

my biggest concern is the BLM movement and how it's going to affect my teaching. I don't know how it's going to affect my students, especially my students of color, and how sensitive kids are going to be about American history class in 8th grade.

I voted 4, I really fear there's going to be a second wave because of the states opening up.  The data doesn't look good, where it seems every day is setting a record number of new cases and hospitalizations.  I sincerely hope I'm wrong but man it's hard to be optimistic right now.  Stay safe everyone.
