from the article:

In Immanuel Christian School's "parent agreement," it states that the school can refuse admission to an applicant "if the atmosphere or conduct within a particular home, the activities of a parent or guardian, or the activities of the student are counter to, or are in opposition to, the biblical lifestyle the school teaches."

The agreement goes on to state that it includes "participating in, supporting, or condoning sexual immorality, homosexual activity or bi-sexual activity, promoting such practices, or being unable to support the moral principles of the school."

So, Baron definitely is NOT attending, right?  Because Trump talked about wanting to bang his own daughter.

I just wonder what happens when one of the pupils turns out to be gay.  I’m not sure how you can ethically expel a person.  Particularly a child  over it.

It’s damaging to everyone.

Don't question their religious faith, buddy.

Hmm, I wonder how many dads at the school break this one:

The agreement also lists disqualifying qualifications, including "heterosexual activity outside of marriage (e.g., premarital sex, cohabitation, extramarital sex), homosexual or lesbian sexual activity, polygamy, transgender identity, any other violation of the unique roles of male and female, sexual harassment, use or viewing of pornographic material or websites,

Religion is a reflection of its membership. It wasn't many years ago that some mainstream Christian churches used its texts to justify racism, not that the logic withstood any measure of intellectual scrutiny. Fix the people and the religion will adjust accordingly. If the internet has shown anything, people can achieve a dogmatic view on anything and react to criticism or questioning of this belief in a predictable hateful way. I suppose that is why traditional religion has declined in popularity. People can get that particular fix outside of church.

And just to be clear.  I don’t have a problem with them having their faux Jesus zone.  If you have a kid, your’re  the problem if you’re convinced they need to go to this school.

Plenty of better places to educate your children that will happily accept them as they are.

Apparently you guys would be surprised at the amount of Christians who try earnestly to be good, decent people.

Nothing in my comments should have led you to think that i felt that Christians broadly are like this specific group of psychos.  And these people are psychos.

Take a few minutes and think out what all is entailed being true to this kind stridently anti gay world view.  Rejecting people (probably as children) that you’ve known.  Probably cared about.  And feeling righteous about it.  Etc.  it’s sick.

Most very religious people are.  It takes a special kind of brain damage to be that self righteous.

It really doesn't. The majority of people inherently want to attach themselves to something bigger. And once attached, because of insecurity, will often overcompensate by making a large display of adherent belief. It'd be easy to just both sides it, but even that short changes this behavior. How many people can you count on this board that overdoes their Angels fandom? It's so rampant now that kids have a name for it. "stanning"

I won't deny that there are plenty of Christians who have been misguided regarding the gay topic and take things too far.

But I would venture to say that it's far more common to find homosexuality immoral while still being welcoming and accepting of gay people.

Reducing it to "hating and shunning gays" is a simpletons cop out.

Im just saying, something is wrong with you if you’re this zealous.  Whether it’s plain stupidity or something more complex, I can’t say.

Can you really say that it's a malfunction though if it's so damn common? Is it a bug or a feature?

How about you tell all of us how zealous we are allowed to be.

Can we celebrate Christmas?  What do we get to believe to make you happy?

What would be your answer? Either specifically in regards to religion or in general?

I’m not telling you anything.  Believe what you want.  But if you think it’s ok to shun a gay person I don’t respect that belief and I think it’s stupid.

What is your definition of "shun" and why do you give a crap about what a private school does or doesn't do?

@mtangelsfan, these people, and the vp, consider gay a disqualifying condition.

If you are okay with that, that's on you.

For what?  I don't think it is for business, education, friendship.  Everyone knows this, I believe a private entity should be able to do pretty much what they want.
