Hopefully the judge drops the case when he finds out the motivation of the suspect was because he just "feels the government no longer represents him."

Ya right. The federal government is going after anyone who was at the Capitol in a way that would make the gestapo proud.

Open-air drug deals and use are rampant. Assaults and illegal burns are frequent. Angry and hostile homeless people, many times dealing with untreated mental illness, threaten each other and the general public.

Then there’s the human suffering. Homeless people stuck living outdoors in a brutal Seattle winter that saw a significant snowstorm and, at times, unrelenting rain. Addicts not getting help, surrounded by piles of garbage and human waste by the ton. Domestic violence victims living on the streets without a helping hand.

Illinois city first in US to approve reparations for Black residents

The City Council in Evanston, Ill., voted 8-1 late Monday to approve a plan to make reparations available to Black residents over past discrimination and the lingering effects of slavery.

The plan, which could be the first of its kind in the U.S., is to distribute $400,000 to eligible Black households. The Associated Press reported that qualifying households in the city of 73,000 would be eligible to receive $25,000 for home repairs or down payments on property.

Ald. Robin Rue Simmons, the lawmaker who proposed the initiative back in 2019, called the approval a first step but said more needs to be done.

"It is, alone, not enough," she said, according to the Chicago  Tribune. "We all know that the road to repair and justice in the Black community is going to be a generation of work. It’s going to be many programs and initiatives and more funding."

She told the New York Times, "It is the reckoning. We’re really proud as a city to be leading the nation toward repair and justice."

The funding for the program will come from the 3% tax on the sale of recreational marijuana and donations. The city expects to spend about $10 million over 10 years.

'Heavily-armed' left-wing thugs descend on state capitol; clashes caught on tapebtbt1bt10

Three people have been arrested and lodged at the Marion County Correctional Facility following violence at the Oregon state Capitol building linked to clashes between right-wing protesters and anti-fascist left-wing counter-protesters.

According to a press release by the Salem Police Department, the individuals arrested include 34-year-old Andrew Alan Foy, 33-year-old Nathan McFarland and 18-year-old Anthony Villaneda.

Foy is charged with disorderly conduct and criminal trepass in the second degree, McFarland is charged with disorderly conduct in the second degree, and Villaneda is charged with five counts of unlawful pointing of a laser.

Police said that the first event by right-wing protestors, billed as the Freedom Rally, appeared on social media in February.

Meanwhile, a second event appeared soon after, dubbed Fascist Free 503, indicating a counter-response to the Freedom Rally. Social media posts connected to the group indicated their intention to prevent the Freedom Rally caravan from meeting at the state capitol.

Shortly before noon, approximately 100 individuals wearing black clothing and ballistic vests and carrying firearms, bats, skateboards, umbrellas, shields and gas masks arrived on the Capitol Mall grounds. Some individuals from the group carried Youth Liberation Front flags, a group known to espouse left-wing ideologies. The group congregated along Court Street in front of the Capitol building.

Anybody else kinda rooting for Chauvin to be found not guilty just for the entertainment value of watching inner cities burn down?

The inner cities burning down.   Then they try and pick on Koreatown again.  But this time, the Koreans shoot first.  Then everyone will be like, now what do we do?

A little bit to be honest. I think he'll be found guilty of something but it probably won't be what the activists and media want.
