My mom just called one of the Dodgers players, wished him merry Christmas, and then almost invited him over to my house for Christmas dinner with us tomorrow.  I don't know that I would have allowed that.

good flick. the only bad thing about it is that I'm humming the Russian national anthem for a few days after I watch it.

She called him back about 20 minutes after my post to ask if we could drop by his apartment on the way to another event.  Thankfully, he didn't pick up this time. I was mortified that she'd impose on him like that.  (Btw, this isn't some completely random thing: he grew up across the street from her and she's still good friends with his parents... still, you don't just call up someone and say, "we're coming over!")
