I'm glad rosters expand to 26 next season. Eases any rigidity of Pujols/Ohtani at DH/1B and unable to play other positions, makes someone like Walsh a lot more usable.

If money was no issue this off-season, I'd love to see the Angels sign Donaldson for 3B, have Fletcher start at 2B and then put LaStella at 1B.  That said, I think most of the off-season money will be spent on pitching and maybe catcher.

Am I the only one that has almost no enthusiasm for Tommy LaStella as a full time regular?

Don’t get me wrong, the guy has value in a limited role.  But I can’t make my brain automatically believe he can be a good full time player when it hasn’t ever really happened.

Until it happens, I am suspicious he just is who he is:  a really nice, productive role player.

I only mentioned it as an option if they upgraded 3B.  That way you keep his bat in the line-up.  

They most likely won't upgrade 3B, so it won't matter as Fletcher will be 3B and LaStella at 2B.

I have no idea what the answer is for 1B.  I just know the less we see Pujols in the line-up, the better.
