I've  come to realize the silver lining of falling into baseball's late-season abyss. I've spent almost no time in the past month reliving game highlights on the MLB shows --- because there are NO Angels highlights. And I barely glance at the LA Times eNewspaper sports section.

We are now 4700-4699 lifetime as a franchise. It doesn’t look like we’ll stay above .500 very much longer.

Maybe the Angels will bring him back after a year away. Like the Lakers did with Phil Jackson. If the team makes the needed signings this offseason and is healthier and better next season, is there anyone who wants to see Ausmus at the helm?

The same shit manager, the best player in baseball with some slumps can’t be perfect,  we still have Albert and also the same as a few years now same crap pitching because Moreno doesn’t want to open up his wallet and spend money, so they will find some cheap peanuts.

Well, they're currently at #12 in next year's draft. Current draft standings:

1. Tigers

2. Orioles 2.5 GB

3. Royals 5.5 GB

4. Marlins 7.5 GB

5. Blue Jays 11.5 GB

6. Pirates 14 GB

7. Mariners 14.5 GB

8. Rockies 17 GB

9. Padres 19 GB

10. White Sox 19 GB

11. Reds 19.5 GB

13. Rangers 22 GB

14. Giants 23.5 GB

15. Diamondbacks 23.5 GB

The "worst-case scenario"--as far as the draft is concerned--is that they get hot, and fall behind the Rnagers, Giants, and Diamondbacks and get the 15th pick. Best-case and they continue to plummet and sneak into the top 10, maybe 9th but probably ot higher. All they have to do for that to occur is play two games worse than the Padres, White Sox and Reds.

with their schedule, they could easily sneak into 8th.  outside chance at 6th but very unlikely.
