Wish this guy well.  He did a solid job when he was called upon.  The Angels made the completely correct decision to keep Goodwin.

Cash considerations is a fancy way of saying the Angels sold Puello to Miami for a sum less than 1 million dollars (that's when the commissioner has to review it). I've been told that these deals can be as little as 10,000 dollars and as much as 250k.

It seems apparent to me that the Marlins would've claimed him, but were confident that he would've been picked up by an AL team first. I'm willing tip very this may have been for like 50-100k. 

So enough top fuel Arte's yacht for a year or two.

Great opportunity for Puello.  I hope he gets in there everyday and does well.  The Marlins lineup is pretty awful so he might actually get plugged in the 4 or 5 spot right away.

Looks like Cesar may have been traded into some regular MLB playing time.

Donnie Baseball says the Marlins are "incrementally better" with Puello, who has an advocate in Miami's AAA manager Keith Johnson, formerly in the Angels system.

Actually they can be for $1, although I’m sure that wasn’t the case here. 

I know the Angels have gotten players for $1 before but I don’t remember which ones and wouldn’t want to write anything incorrect.
