Tim Mead's final day as a Halo

Victor and Guby just had a nice farewell interview with Tim Mead.

This is his final games with the Halos organization as he flies to the East Coast later this week to take over his new duties at the HOF in Cooperstown,

He spent some 40 years or so with the Halos.

They need a special Administrative wing  Halos HOF plaque for him.  Has anyone been with the organization longer in any capacity than him?  Maybe a peanut vendor or something,

Godspeed Tim Mead, best to you at the HOF.  The Halos will now share him with Baseball history.

Guy obviously means a lot to a lot of people.  Nice to see stuff like that.  Good luck to him.  I know I’ve read over the years how great he was to AW.

Saw him at the game a few weeks ago. Was with my one year old and almost asked for a picture so one day we could be like “we met the guy that runs the hall of fame” but decided to let him go about his day.

Ive met him and talked with him a handful of times over the years. Hes an absolute gentleman. 

Happy he got his dream job, but its a huge loss for the organization.

He is the never give up on your dreams poster child.  From being rejected by every local professional sports organization to head of the MLB HOF.  What a story!

I know hes really well liked by the players. Whereas I dont know if say Eppler (or dipoto, reagins, etc) are considered "one of us" vs "my boss", Mead is in the former category. Hed get invites to dinner, knew the wives, etc.

Tim Mead's survived three ownerships, multiple managers, General Managers, even spent a few years as Assistant GM to Bill Bavasi.  He's the been the one constant and good guy.

I wish Tim the best in Cooperstown.

Crazy thought: Mead started with the Angels as an intern (in 1980) before Gene Mauch was the manager (in 1981).

Crazier thought: Mead started with the Angels in the same year that A Flock of Seagulls was formed.

Rarely do you see someone as beloved in the front office as Tim Mead. What a great choice to run the HoF.

Fantastic guy! One of the most genuine guys that I've met in the game that was a non-player. Tim is a true Fan of the Game.
