The Rangers have been impressive.

3 games over .500 this far into the season isn't something I would have expected.  

Gallo is obviously the centerpiece of their offense and it looks like he's taken the next step.  Him going to the DL is gonna be a big blow probably.  

Choo and Pence have been impressive as has Forsythe.  Even guys like Cabrera and Santana have been very solid.  

The thing that I am most surprised about is that they've somehow pieced together a decent rotation.  Mike Minor has been impressive.  That looked like a terrible contract to me at first.  Lance Lynn the same.  He's been ok and I'm not convinced that's gonna hold up over three years.  Miller and Smyly have been terrible.  And the pen hasn't been very good.  

They've also had below average defense.  

Kinda hard to find where the wins have been coming from but it's not like the numbers are out of line.  

Will be interesting to see if they can keep this up.

They are similar to the Dumbpotos, mostly mediocre pitching and defense, and solid hitting.

That plus bad road record plus Gallo out for a while plus playing mostly bad teams over the past 3 weeks = this can't last for long for them.
