why do we have a bunch of minor leaguers on our roster?

Would these guys even make a decent team's roster?

Calhoun, Cozart: defensive replacements or platoon players at best.

Boujos, Bour, Pujols, La Stella: farm

That's about half your lineup.

And so far as starting pitching, we have a bunch #4s and 5s, save for Ohtani.

Not gonna win with any consistency with this bunch, no way no how.

If you took Trout of of the line up, then compared it to the Salt lake Bees line up, they look pretty even!

Yeah except the average age of the Bees and the average age of the Angels would indicate that the Bees would someday have a shot at being good, whereas the Angels wouldn't.  There's a big difference between a 32 year old hitting .300 with 30 HR's in AAA and a 23 year old doing it.

Is it, though? If his name wasn't "Albert Pujols" and he wasn't being paid $30 million a year, would he be a starter on a major league club? The answer is no, and not for a few years now.

Nit sure he is on the farm.  We have had many worse players on each of the last three teams
