A Costa Rican soccer player died last week when he went swimming to cool off in a river and found it swarming with crocodiles.

"With deep sorrow we make public the death of our player Jesus Lopez Ortiz (Chucho), may God rest his soul," local team Deportivo Rio Cañas wrote on Facebook. "Rest in peace, Chucho, we share your family’s pain."

Gruesome video shows the killer croc swimming through the water with 29-year-old Ortiz in its mouth. Onlookers shout and point, some of them screaming in horror as they realize the crocodile has someone in its mouth.

The Dodge struck the right side of a Toyota Sienna minivan, which carried seven occupants, causing four more vehicles to crash. The driver and passenger of the Dodge, as well as every passenger in the minivan, died.

The National Transportation Safety Board, a U.S. government agency that investigates such accidents, found that in this scenario and many others like it, a technology that limits the speed of vehicles could have mitigated the scale of this tragedy. The driver, who was found to have cocaine and PCP in his system which impaired his decision-making, had a record for breaking the speed limit.

 

So instead of doing something about the cocaine and pcp, let's just fuck everyone.

On Nov. 8, authorities arrested the teen in San Jose and booked them into juvenile hall for attempted murder and two counts of assault with a deadly weapon.

There’s one in Lake Powell. I went there a few years back when the water was low. When I got to the shoreline I asked a guy who was coming back from it how far up the trail Rainbow Bridge was. He yelled “Three beers!”
