The game evolved from 11 game World Series, two pennants and no playoffs,  fist fights with umpires and sharpening spikes as well. This isn't MMA or football, it's not supposed to devolve to a bloodsport.

Why do they just have to wave four fingers to give a free pass. They took the possibility of a wild pitch out of the equation.

Everything else aside...the bottom line is Bryant and Rizzo aren't hitting. When they hit the Cubs can overcome almost anything. When they don't, the Cubs will lose to good teams in close games.

It's pretty simple. Those 2 drive the offense.

The play at the plate had no bearing on the outcome of the game. I did enjoy Madman going nutso on the call, lol. 

Pesonally, I miss the collisions at the plate and the takeout slide.

A 3.60 ERA for Kershaw is now considered a "solid" game for him. Okay.....

In the NLCS against a team that scored the 2nd most runs in the NL this year. Yeah, it was pretty solid.

The Dodgers have won both of his starts this postseason.

I’ve watched a lot of MLB playoff games over the years and have seen many postseason legends but sadly Mike Trout is not one of them yet. It’s crazy that the best player on the planet continues to be idle in October.

Mike Trout is a good guy but it would not surprise me if he is very vocal about the teams lack of talent when he privately corresponds with management. He has to be tired of losing.

Verlander was amazing today ... haven’t seen a complete game domination like that in a long time.

His comment at the end was a little troubling when he said ‘it was him game to lose or win’ in the ninth. Although, that what you want your pitcher to believe.

We know Trout is tired of losing. This offseason, the Angels have to hope that they sign either Darvish or Arrieta. And resigning Upton would not be a bad idea, either.

Verlander was who we needed this season and beyond. Ace pitching always defines the postseason.

They've won both of his starts because of the supporting cast, NOT Kershaw.

Well unfortunately that won’t be enough. We still can’t hit. Have you watched some these playoff games? We have a long way to go before we can compete with these teams on the big stage. Give Eppler 3-5 years and see what happens.

It's not going to happen so don't hold your breath. You might Moustakas or some other FA to fill holes in the IF but no top starting pitching. If Upton opts out think J D Martinez...

Why 3-5 years? It only took one off season to tear down the best team in 2014.
