If by his numbers you mean .250/20HR/80RBI, then yes.  Those will probably be there.  If you mean anything close to his prime, you're crazy.  I love that people just assume because he did it in the past that he'll continue doing it until the end of time.

Nope haven't given up on him at all - He DOES need to suck it up and get his foot fixed. He isn't going to be the one to bring us out of this nightmare of a season, much less wtih a peg leg.

Can 3 weeks of rest allow him to play through the issue for the rest of the season and get off-season surgery?

Or does rest only slightly improve the condition?
