It is disturbing  to think that with Richards and Heaney instead of Nolasco and Chavez, the Angels might well be 15 games above .500 and the likely choice for the first WC.

With how poorly the offense had been you are not looking at a 15 game swing. But there definitely would be more wins and it doesn't take many this year to seperate from the pack for the wildcard.

It would only be an eight game swing.

If Richards wins five or six of the 10 last games that Nolasco lost, and Heaney wins two or three that Chavez lost, that puts the Angels at 13 to 15 games over .500.
