Not sure it matters right now....Fister is probably 3 weeks from being ready, maybe more....somebody will be hurt or ineffective by then....

There's really no reason not to like this deal as it just adds depth. I doubt we're paying this guy a truckload of money and if Meyer & Ramirez continues to pitch well, he's not taking their rotation spot.

Ill file this under not excited, not bummed out either.

Hes nothing special to add, but i think our current staff (who have done well) are pitching over their heads. Its only may, and were still down the 4 guys who were supposed to anchor our staff. Cant hurt to add an insurance arm.

For those who dislike it, hes a pitcher...trying to pass a physical...for us. Odds are they already find a dehydrated elbow anyway and we dont sign him.

Fister hasn't been throw competitively at all.

He's going to need a mini spring training to get ready
