Here is why Trout is so great

So watching him go  to the podium to accept his MVP award it dawned on me.  

He absolutely hates that shit.  Not because he's a jerk inside but truly the opposite.  His humility in absolutely amazing.  

He looks like he wants absolutely zero to do with the spotlight.  But he's been coached and trained at that more than he's been coached and trained at baseball.  It's unnatural and awkward.  And you know what?  That's a good thing.  

I think his dad, being a former player, recognized his son's amazing talent pretty early on which allowed both his parent to prepare him well.

He get's up to the mic and while he's accepting his 2nd MVP award in front of 40,000+ people, he's chewing gum.   I love it.  All the um's and errs and awkward hand movements.  

The guy is baseball superman.  Anything outside of that makes you realize he's human.  It just works so well because it's real.
