Ramirez is really intriguing me this spring.

I know his stat lines haven't been too impressive, but from what I've seen, he's been the victim of a bad inning more often than not.

I don't know if he'll make the full-time leap to the rotation, but I'm thinking he could be capable of offering up 100-120 IP of ~4 ERA ball.

I was just coming here to post something similar and he promptly gives up a home run. lol

Still though I agree. He's got good stuff. His fastball/slider look great. How is his change looking?

4 IP, 1 ER, 6 K's so far today.

His stamina/consistency definitely isn't there yet, and he's said as much. Most of his appearances this year are pretty similar, he pitches well for 2-3 innings and then runs out of gas. If he can work beyond that, and he's shown a bit today, and turn in 4-5 solid innings, he could be real interesting to watch.

I've just watched for the last 5 minutes and feel like I've got 5 innings of Mota. Wish we could do without a chatty analyst sucking all the air out of the booth.

One thing Red Barber taught Vin Scully (before he became a microphone hog himself in his later years) was that fans like to hear crowd noise.
