They really need to invest time and money into ensuring overseas players aren't ransomed like this. SAD!

Same reason that football (not American) team just signed the dude who served time for murder. Same reason Ray Lewis still has a job.

Frankly it doesn't surprise me that this happens.  Hopefully bringing this issue to light will help bring an end to this.
