This country is losing its mind. Even attempting to make this about race is ridiculous.

The article loses any credibility with its opening, and the 4 examples given.

And the stupid will play right into the hands of the message...

You know.  On Friday, some black kid rang our doorbell at 10 PM, over and over.  Was upstairs, and finally answered.  He said if this was xyz address.  I said no, it was yxz address.  He said oh sorry and left.  I looked on google maps, and there is no xyz address.  So we all know what he was doing.

I sent and email to our SLO on Saturday.  I haven't heard back from him.  So you know the cop is a racist. 

That rational makes about as much sense as that article.

Stupid that they threw in the race of innocent bystanders. Maybe they should look at the demographics of which races are more likely to run from the cops

Theres an absolutely valid argument about the danger of pursuits. most local agencies around here are operating under "if you can shoot you can chase". meaning, you can chase violent crime.

But this article, trying to say race has any sort of factor in it, is beyond ridiculous. my mind is blown that a source as established as usa today (vs someones blog) would even attempt to look into that.

Again, the first 3 examples given...where the fleeing suspect hits a vehicle with a black person in it...sub retarded.
