He doesn't have stuff.  His change up has become a scoutable pitch.  Telegraphed.  He slows his delivery.  His fastball is 90-93 w/o movement.  His slider is a show me pitch.  Been saying it for two years now.  He doesn't have the stuff.  Nor does alvarez.  Or Street.  Or Guerra.  Nor did Salas or Smith.  Valdez and Ramirez are the consummate recycled arm.  Great arms.  Both actually have a decent out pitch but neither can consistently throw meaningful strikes.  Each will probably put together a couple of solid major league seasons at some point, but who the hell knows when and you certainly can just throw those guys at the back of a pen and hope for the best.

Our only true 'stuff' guy is Bedrosian.  You could pretty much replace everyone else with replacement level players and it wouldn't even be noticeable.

Guerra has somehow put together a sub 1.00 WHIP, but how will he fare in 2017 with MLB having the off-season to make adjustments?

Ramirez' control has been by far better than it had been before he arrived here.   Can that continue in 2017?

Valdez' control has been very questionable since being called up.   The stuff is there.

I give up on Mo-Runs-In.   Straight fastballs is not how to be a MLB pitcher, son.

Come on guys! Scioscia knows what he's doing! Just look at all the former Halos that were sent away:

Frankie Rodriguez and his 400 plus saves

Mark Trumbomb and his 40 ding dongs

Maike Napoli and his 30

Kendrys Morales and his 50 the last 2 years

Jean Segura and his .316 BA

Blah Blah Blah....and how about that CLIFF PENNINGTON and his .201 average? Just keep playing him! Waaaaaay batter than that .260 hustler Giavatella!

Never mock THE MAD GENIUS....

And of all those players Scioscia was probably involved in Napoli and Napoli alone.  But keep being "that guy" you excel at it.

Of all those players only Napoli was really above replacement level for more than a season or two.  Frankie has certainly had his ups and downs. Trumbo has a lower WAR this year than CJ Cron, same with Morales.  But you know Sosh, mad genius, fat man, blah blah blah.

Personally I'm high on Morin I just think he's going through an adjustment period. Yes his fastball is a little flat but his changeup and slider are good offerings and the changeup in particular plays well off of the four-seam as it comes in at nearly the same vertical height across the plate (which makes hitters eyes light up and swing) but comes in 20 mph slower which makes them miss. Velocity is important of course but it isn't everything. Changing speeds is what Jered Weaver thrived off of for years so..... Maybe I'm too rosy on him but I think he will figure it out.

Trumbo is literally the same hitter he's always been, except now he has the benefit of hitting in Little League stadiums 70% of the year.

I thought this wasn't true. It is the second best year of his career but his BA and OBP are right in line with his career numbers. His slugging is up a lot and that's led to a decent increase in his OPS+. It seems like he's basically the same guy who has benefited int he HR department from moving to a new division.

IMO Morin was a fireballer who had a solid fastball but in subsequent years had difficulty mastering his slider and change up and then couldn't throw them for strikes.

he may have lost some velocity as well which would really impact his second and third pitches -- but not sure if that's the case.

anyway, has reached the promise this year that he showed flashes of in prior two years.
