What great memories that song brings back.  Listening to Dick Enberg on KMPC on a transistor radio.

They still play an abridged version of that song after the postgame show on the radio.

Ah, the memories...of losing lots and lots of ballgames before sparse crowds.

Best part of Roger Lodge's pregame show.  Brings back memories of when my Pop worked at KMPC.

The last few bars were the station ID.

The Angels are bringing those memories back. You might say they are going Retro, reliving their 1974 season this year.

That team was bad, a record of 68-94. Ranked last in the AL in runs and total bases, next to last in OPS. We went through three managers that year.

But we had Nolan Ryan in his prime. 22 wins and 367 strikeouts, including a no-hitter on Sept. 28th against the Twins.

Damn. He had 26 complete games that year and 26 in the previous year also. Oh, how times have changed.
