Hi, guys.  I'm just now catching up on the game.  The post-game guy (Patrick something or other) mentioned that maybe the "no call" threw off Weaver and led to his downfall in this game.  I just read through the Gameday Thread, and no one even mentioned a bad/no-call.  Does anyone know what he's referring to?

He struck out the first batter of the inning but strike three was called a ball. It went bad from there.

I only saw the play initially, he looked nailed, they said clear path, I said BS call!

In the end, it worked out in our favor.

 

I know the game is evolving, I'm just not evolving with it, at the same pace....

This team just isn't very good at baseball. There's little point complicating it beyond that.

 

I just love the euphemisms our broadcasters use to protect everyone's feelings. My favorite has been "a lack of offensive continuity." Ya that's the problem!

Regardless of the clear path. The replay looked liked Pujols' foot tagged the plate before the glove tagged his body. At first glance, I also thought Albert was toast. But not only did the catcher block the plate, he was very slow at moving his glove toward Albert.

He gave up a hit to the first guy he faced then struck out the rest of the batters he faced

I saw the play really only once, then listened to the commentary the rest of the time...
