Ex Angels prospects Jean Segura is leading off and playing 2B and Zach Borenstein is batting 7th and playing LF but in their game against the Padres unfortunately.  Same for AJ Pollock & Paul Goldschmidt and ex Yankee power hitting catching prospect Pete O'Brien which is strange being that it is an away game for them.

I like when someone does something well in a game.  It makes for a good excuse to talk about that player

 

I like Carlos Perez.  I think he's gonna be better offensively than people think.  By that I mean a .270 avg with a .330+ obp.  He was only 24 last year and he held his own decently.  He's in there for his defense, but I think his bat will continue to improve.  He doesn't strike out and his minor league bb rate was above 10%.  He's gonna be like bmo sans the trailer.  

 

Choi hit an opposite field homer.  It takes a reasonable amount of pop to do that.  He also looked fairly comfortable at 1b and made some nice stretches.  He's more athletic than I thought and way better at 1b than Cron.  

 

Gentry can still run which is good.
