Mlb premium?

Recommended Posts

for out of area fans it's probably worth it and they are running some sort of discount price if you sign up during ST.

I don't get it anymore because I can get FSN on cable without the MLB premium package.

Between FSN, ESPN and MLB channel games, I get enough baseball.

Plus I get the MLB audio package which remains the best deal anywhere -- all season long, all MLB teams radio broadcasts both home and away for all 162 games for all teams -- $19.99 for the entire season.

proxy server -- taking your Direct TV server with you when you move and maintaining your old zip code. It affects which teams get blacked out.

they blacked out the Angels games in Las Vegas?? Las Vegas is considered part of the LA media market for blackout purposes??

Is it worth subscription? In the past all the Angels games were blacked out because I lived in Vegas. I was told the black out rules were changed. Anyone know if it's worth it?

Depends on how many games you get. I live in Louisiana and all Rangers and Astros games are blacked out. I get about half the Rangers games via FOX, and the other half are preempted by FOX Sports New Orleans and their programming. The Astros have the same deal as the Dodgers with only 35-40% of cable subscribers getting it in Houston. I never get an Astros game but it's still blacked out. Any more than about 30 games missed would not be worthwhile to me. The blackout IMO is unfair if you can't get the games by alternate means.

The audio is a great deal with no blackouts.
