That might happen because Arte turned down a reported 13 year deal that Trout was seeking. Time to sell.

13 years would have only taken Trout to his age 35/36 season, Pujols' alleged age in 2016.

 

SMFH at Moreno for only giving 6 years.    He can redeem himself though by giving Trout a redone contract after 2017 for 11 years/$330 million that still only takes him to his age 36/37 season.

Trouts first ten years as a player will be great. Anything after that will be a huge risk because Trout is such an aggressive type athlete that will be feeling the affects at age 30. He will eventually begin to breakdown and sustain injuries. He is human after all.

He has stopped trying to steal bases for the most part.   The one issue, that may dog Harper more though, is how he handles plays at the fence.

He hasn't had as many collisions as Harper has had with fences.
