Typically, this is the stuff I get excited over.  And I can tell you right now, I don't think I'v ever been more underwhelmed by a ST invite list.  The only ones I an think of that I'd like to see are Nate Smith, Tyler DeLoach and Kyle McGowin, but that's moderate.

If I'm grasping at straws, Nick Buss is kind of interesting.  But our 25man is pretty much set with very few alternates barring Injury.

IF/C - Escobar, Pennington, Simmons, Gia, Cron, Perez, Soto

SP - Richards, Wilson, Santiago, Weaver, Heaney

RP - Street, Smith, Salas, Morin, Alvarez, Guerra, Rasmus

 

2 spots left for guys like Choi, Bedrock, Marte, Kubtiza, Cowart, Shoe, Rasmussen, Alburquerque.  

Pujols starts on the DL I think.  

 

I think they are gonna start Weaver on the DL as well.  So shoe starts in the rotation.  

 

Interesting schedule for the first week as well.  

 

fri/sat/sun before the season starts we have away/home vs. the dogs and then an exhibition at home vs. the cubs on the 3rd prior to a 2 game home opener vs. them on the 4th and 5th.  weird.

It'd be nice if at least of Wass, Strentz, or McGee kept progressing. With Perez, Bandy, and Ward already above them in the ranks it gives us another strength in the farm at a position that's thin across the majors.
