Souza please. A thousand times over and a thousand times again. We haven't even seen the tip of the iceberg with that guy. He's hoing to be at 25/25 player pretty soon.

Skaggs would seem fair. Young players who haven't yet reached their expected success in the majors.

Absolutely, Skaggs and Souza should have similar value, but if not we can still sweeten they deal with a pitching prospect.

That was around what I was thinking. Either a fringe lower-tier SP or one of our RPs, since they always do well in Tampa.

And I could see the Rays being interested.

What the F are you talking about? You do realize that there's like 3 guys in the league that go 25/25 every year?

Souza strikes out like its his job

Souza takes a while to make the adjustments. He's a lat bloomer, but once he does, he's going to be dangerous. I'd expect this season to be slightly better than last, but then in 2017, he's going to breakout.

So the Rays traded a BP arm like Gott for a young OF with upside? Why did Eppler choose Yunel Escobar instead? Don't say Arte or Sosh.

Edit: McGee is obviously better than Gott, but Eppler could have made some kind of deal happen.

Not only is McGee better than Gott, Gott isn't anywhere near the pitcher McGee is. Gott has about 2 good months of MLB pitching under his belt ( and 2 not-so-good)

Gott didn't pitch well on the road, when behind in the count, with 2 outs or with risp. In return we filled a position that needed addressing with a player coming off of a season in which he batted .314 with an OBP of .375 & OPS+ of 113

How much more would you think we could have received in return?

Longoria obviously.
