It actually looked fake.  The ball just perfectly pops into his mitt.

It's possible, with a few caveats:

1) Angels have to make the playoffs.

2) The voters have to ignore all of the extra RBI for Donaldson thanks to the Toronto offensive juggernaut. All they should have to know is that he has like 40 more PA than Trout to realize that, but you never know.

Agreed. On first glance it looked like a merely "good" HR robbery rather than inhuman, because he made it look so easy.

I don't know about that. Assume both teams make the playoffs....I still think the voters will select Donaldson. His team wining the division + him having the shiny RBI stats likely keeps him above Trout
