Incredible that a human can take a couple rounds from a .40 cal and keep running. Adrenaline does crazy things.

Adrenaline, along with whatever other motivation they might have on-board.

 

I remember years ago, we got dispatched to a shots call.  After searching the area, we only located a couple of .45 shell-casings.  About a 1/2 hour later, somebody called-in about the victim laying on their driveway.  He was four or five blocks away from our original scene, and had been shot once through-and-through to the upper chest...
