Only real WC suspense now is the race for that last SCP spot between Minnesota and Colorado.

So went to the coyotes/panthers game last night at gila river arena. My wife and I had a blast. It was $1 dollar beer night. Arena is small but we had some good seats we got for cheap.

Btw the coyotes destroyed Florida

Mr. Game 7 has obviously helped the Caps.     It will be a great return even in enemy gear, hopefully with a loud ovation when he first steps on the ice.

Fell asleep 5 minutes into the game. Stupid time zone differences. Kept dreaming about different scores the game would end up being. None of them had the Kings scoring more than 3.

one of my favorite players was honored last night. jimmy carson was an absolute stud as a kid. scored more goals as a teenager than anyone, including gretzky. his second year in the league he had 55 goals, including 5 games with a hat trick. it was a heavy price to pay to get gretzky, but it sure seemed like the right move at the time. wonder what it would have been like with carson here for all those years.

Martin Gelinas was also part of that trade, and highly touted after being the #7 overall pick in 1988 shortly before the trade.  

Went on to score 309 NHL goals across 18 seasons, playing for several NHL teams, but never really put it together in Edmonton.
