It did (so did other phones in the office) and I actually came here to see if there was an update on the Amber Alert thread or a new thread which there wasn't at the time.  I quickly googled how to turn off Amber Alerts as I too have a few phone and will no longer be bothered by family squabbles.

I have the alerts turned off so I didn't know about it until my wife mentioned it at dinner. I told her about YK and what he thinks of these. Felt warm inside to see this thread.

Thanks for that. I found out my phone has "Presidential alerts" which cannot be disabled. All Android phones do, and I understand that even the iPhone has it.
