To be honest, Helen Keller never had a good ear for music.

Not that big into it, but don't mind it. I could always hear Welcome To Jamrock, though.....I dig that they used that song to open Shottas.

One of the genres of music I respect the most. When I got serious with playing bass I got into playing reggae or at least learning about it and listening to Robbie Shakespeare (Sly and Robbie) quite a bit. One of the bass mags I used to get had an interview with him that was eye opening.

It's hard not to praise Desmond Dekker. Nothing is better than Pre-Rasta reggae. It's pretty much American soul/R&B with a Jamaican twist.

Edit: I know this is a reggae thread, but early ska like Derrick Morgan (the king of ska) is such a fine line between reggae and not.
