The great news after today.....

Recommended Posts

We will not play any teams in contention for the wild card except for Seattle, and one game (a makeup) against Cleveland, which is currently 5.5 games back of a spot.

We have a lot of games against Texas, Boston, and Minnesota, which are all under .500 and really struggling.

I would love to see us beat up on the Red Sox. Seven games remaining with them.

Perhaps temper the euphoria over playing sub 500 teams with the performance last night against a very sub 500 pitcher.  They have done well against these teams, but that's no guarantee going forward.  Short of Richards and Weav, starting pitching is not exactly overwhelming at this point.

But we hit the best pitcher in baseball fairly well so let's be optimistic.   B)

Agree with Point 1 but Shoe and Santiago have actually pitched pretty well.....CJ is the only fly in the starting pitching ointment right now.....let's hope he turns it around tonite....

It doesn't matter who we play if our offense doesn't show up. We got dominated by a near 5 era pitcher last Night. I don't really care for the "shitty teams = easy wins" theory. The Angels SHOULD be winning those games but again, it all depends if the offense decides to do it's job or not.

I do agree it does depend on whether or not the offense shows up, but that is true for every single team. Since the trade deadline the A's have scored more than 3 runs once. During that same time the Angels have scored more than 3 runs four times and against much better pitching.

Stop sunshining on his parade. It's not cool.
