Hypothetical WC game vs Felix

Recommended Posts

Likely the 2nd WC team would've already used their ace to secure that spot in the previous game or two (prior to the play-in/off game), right?  Especially if it is a multi-team race.  It seems like a lot of people think that the 2-WC will automatically have their ace set up for the one game play-in.  The only thing I am worried about is that Seattle has 2 pitchers that have handled us historically/recently (Iwakuma and Queen Felatio Felix)

Exactly this. Unless Seattle has a big WC lead heading into the last week they aren't setting their rotation to save Felix for the playoffs. If anything they are more likely pitching him more to get into the playoffs.

Why is people so obsessed over this?
Weve beaten him before.. in the last week weve beaten some of the best in the game.  Even the last time we lost when he pitched he wasnt the pitcher of record as i recall so...
As others have said i dont think its likely they get that spot anyway even if they make a deal for a Price. Personally i think it goes to the Yanks or Royals as both have an easier SoS second half then the Ms or Js and tor always seems to struggle to beat NY.

Third highest run differential in the AL.

Ignorance.

pretty sure none said they werent, but you might also take into account they have one of the hardest strength of schedule of the playoff contenders too while you are looking shit up...   i mean that is the logic that everyone wanted to throw our talking about us playing for a wild card, how easy oak schedule is so i assume it applies to Sea too or does that not matter?

are they in the mix, yes, likely to miss by a game or two in my opinion, but they will be in it

Yeah exactly that.  The fact that they have to play us and Oakland several times to end the season will be a huge factor in them missing the play in game.  Considering we just took 2 out of 3 from them when they had both Iwakuma and Felix pitching.
