No one can really predict how well he'll perform in the future, but he's been nothing short of an ace this year.

Well.. it depends on how you define "ace." I don't consider Richards an ace since I only consider a select few SP to be true aces. But I do consider him a top-10 starter in baseball based on what he has shown so far. Certainly no insult there.

Garrett Richards is better than many aces.  He's better than the ace on his own staff.  He's Top 10 in all of baseball, Top 5 in the AL.  If he's not an ace, then I really don't know what an ace is I guess.
