Speaking of injuries in the dugout, something weird just happened to Hanley Ramirez as he entered the dugout after grounding out. Vin Scully is talking about it right now. He injured his hand somehow, and it doesn't look good.

 

They're working on him now, it's the right thumb.

Ramirez's hand is bandaged and he's out of the game and in the clubhouse. It appears he hurt his hand swinging the bat.

It's not good, but it could have been much worse. Thankfully, he had his helmet on. He still got his head cut open.

 

update:

Brewers manager Ron Roenicke updated reporters on Segura's status after the game.

"No concussion, no fracture but he was laid open pretty good. So a plastic surgeon stitched him up," Roenicke said. "He'll have some swelling tomorrow, I'm sure, so we'll see how quickly it goes down and how many days (out of the lineup) it's going to be."

I watched some of the Cubs-Mil game today and saw players on both sides doing it. It must have something with the enormous dugouts in that park. They are huge compared to most dugouts.
