Dude has been one of the most consistent relievers in baseball for a while now. He's also converted 90% of his save opportunities since 2007. Not to mention he has pitched in hitter's parks his entire career. I'd love to have him.

I'd only take Valverde if he fixes whatever was wrong with his delivery over the past season. He was awful in the end for Detroit. No K-Rod no matter what. Not very good a ball player & seems like an even worse teammate. Didn't like his attitude last couple years with Halos and don't want him back. Especially now with his violence and anger issues.

But he's stopped missing bats over the past couple years and his velocity was apparently down in Indians camp.

he probably isnt...that was one of the reasons he got released...the Tribe told him he wouldnt break camp but they wanted to keep him...he declined to pitch at AAA

 

im with ya tho...if he wouldnt mind pitching at AAA for a bit i say sign him

I'd take a flyer on Mark Lowe.  Has a heck of an arm, Dodgers just released him.  But if the price were right, meaning it was only 1-2 million guaranteed money, I'd sign Valverde.

There's a reason why the Tigers opted with the rookie closer this year.

I don't think I'd want either but if I had to choose it would be Krod, Valverde is so underwhelming everytime I watch him pitch. Krod wasn't great last year but that whole Brewers bulpen was a disaster.
