Whoah...  Word is he was blown away on his visit and likes Cal for their academics.  I am sure the fact that WA isn't winning helped level the playing field.  Always happy to see WA lose on a CA recruit.

For what it's worth, an impressive improvement in academic performance from the football team has occurred.

I think there's a small possibility that Dykes doesn't make it to 2014 as coach, which would probably cost a bit via the second buyout in two years.

According to Dykes he would be shocked if Cal doesn't have a top 3 recruiting class in the P12... he has some work to do, Scout currently ranks Cal as 9th in the Pac.
