will calhoun be considered a rookie next year

I am just curious and maybe someone knows the requirement. Online it say 13abs or 45 day on active roster prior to the expansion of the rosters in september. So does any9ne onow his status for next year?

Nope. He already has 140 ab's.

 

 The current standard of 130 at bats, 50 innings pitched or 45 days on the active roster of a Major League club (excluding time in military service or on the disabled list) before September 1 was adopted in 1971.^[1][6]

Well if you exclude time after sept 1. Wouldn't be under 130 abs and 45 days?

It doesn't matter. If a hitter has more than 130 ab's this year, he won't be considered a rookie next year. In 2011, Trout had 123 ab's. That's why he was still considered a rookie in 2012.

too much playing time and ABs this season to be classified as a rookie for next year.........he'll miss out on competing for ROY.

All at bats count towards rookie eligibility. Service time after September 1 doesn't. He's well over the 130 with last years atbats included
